High speed electric drill. Variable from 0-3,000 RPM, which is slightly faster than some aircraft air drills. The secret is to look at the cheaper drills. To save money they leave out a reduction gear stage. That makes them faster. No air hose or noisy compressor needed. Good speed for #30 and #40 drills. Made by Wen, sold by Harbor Freight. About $15. Very happy with it after using air drills in an EAA class.

Metal shear from Chicago Electric Tools. Sold by Harbor freight. About $40. Works great. Makes nice smooth cut with no distortion. It does have some problems on long cuts because the metal coils up in the center. I have the other side shears and they work better.
